HVLA technique also known as chiropractic adjustment is a treatment method done by a chiropractor or physiotherapist in which a controlled, sudden force is applied to the spinal joint to correct the position and alignment of spine and the musculature around it.

In case of any positive test HVLA technique or chiropractic treatment is completely contra indicated.
There are some absolute contra indications in which chiropractic corrections can not be implemented.
- Severe pain even in rest or no movements
- History of recent fall or injury.
- Malignancy in spine or other areas of body
- Cases of severe instability in the joint
- Fever
Although there are some exceptions and for some this treatment can be contra indicated but for majority it is safe and can give wonderful results in cases of chronic pains. As it can be a risky procedure always make sure you visit a licensed practitioner with experience.
